I think he's had a sensational year. Off the court, sensational; practice, sensational; he's just done a great job keeping everyone focused.

I kind of get it second hand sometimes, the stuff that is going on. You take in everyone's physical fitness and mental fitness when you are picking a team. Somebody's mental fitness could be affected by a family illness or a death in the family; you take that into consideration. If you feel that people can handle all of that and they are physically right, then you pick the team. I have spoken to John now and then over the last two or three weeks.

It was a very open course that had people skiing like a mini super-G. The skiers could tuck all the way. A lot of us ski aggressively, and that showed on this course. It brought a lot of confidence to the team for the rest of the season.

I think I will have Roy next season. He loves it at the club and I can't see him leaving. It's just fitness that counts. Fitness, speed, motivation -- if you've got that then fine.

I am really proud of the way the team competed throughout the league. We showed tremendous growth in our three competition dates. The league is an integral part of our spring season. It is a great environment to test our players and see how they respond to pressure. Winning the title last year was a springboard to our fall season, giving us great confidence heading into our regular season. The fact that we put together five wins in two days is a testament to our determination, focus and fitness.

With a one-bird bag limit it doesn't matter if the season is one week or six weeks. If you kill a tom your season is over. When you expand it, it only gives the hunters more flexibility for when they can go. Instead of two weeks, they have four weeks to plan a hunt.

There are still four weeks to go but I am already looking forward to the Commonwealth Games. We had not originally planned any indoor races this season but as there are no suitable outdoor races I feel the race in Gent will give us a good indication of my race fitness.

He was sensational and we all know what a talent he is. For the last few weeks he has started to play well again, which is very, very good for us and let's hope he can carry on doing that.

I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

It was a great game. The girls played their hearts out. Erin Kerr was absolutely sensational; for a freshman especially, but for any player. She was just sensational at point guard.

It provided us with a solid week of training. During the season teams are often preparing on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a Friday competition. During those weeks we really have to watch our volume of training. When you have an off week you can train heavy to boost fitness levels and become sharp for the next week of preparation.
