Just the fact that the market has been able to hold in a trading range in this environment is bullish.

Normally the decline should have been much more, but the market seems to be holding. The main difference between then and now is the fact that market fundamentals today are way, way better than before.

Rising energy costs aside, the key difference between today and a year ago is the fact that businesses have far more confidence in future economic conditions, and this gives executives comfort when signing new leases.

The fact that the bond market is rallying today is a plus. If this ends up being a bear market, it will be one of the first ever that began when interest rates are down.

The fact is that it's an ugly market today. The pressure from the market is too strong here.
