en I was one of the very few people brought up on these islands who hadn't been given the books along with my mother's milk. So I came to it with a beginner's mind. I still haven't read them all, but I thought it was a good read, and I thought it would make a good film. So I was very happy to do it. When I met with Andrew Adamson I just thought he was the right person for the job.

en I love the Plymouth library. I went to the history room and read the book on the 20th century history of Plymouth and thought it was great. I read they were going to do a second book. I hadn't thought about that case in years, but it all came back. I read what was available on it and realized we needed a more balanced treatment.

en He told me he was really kind of surprised that this has been so overblown. I thought the test was just a minor thing or whatever. There's nothing serious there.

en It's interesting to re-read the book as an adult. Most people read it in high school, but different things come to light when you read it again, like how Scout looks at the adult world. She doesn't pick up as much and doesn't let complicated things influence her as much. It makes a lot more sense to me now.

en One of the most important things is to learn to read music. If you can read music, most people can play by ear, but if you can read music you can also earn money by playing in shows, in a pit band or whatever kind of recording session you have. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. They have a chart in front of you and you can read it. You won't be one dimensional.

en I thought they did a great job in the first half, especially finishing, making shots and driving the score up. I thought they read things well and really did a nice job finishing the game.

en I have heard these things, ... I think that's so overblown and overstated. But it's become, I guess, a recent topic of discussion.

en You need 11 guys on the same page and sometimes you get away with one guy making a bad read or doing the wrong thing. Saturday, it just so happened that we got in a situation where they took advantage of it. Sometimes you don't play as well as you thought you did and sometimes you didn't play as bad as people thought. We do have some things to work on.

en It bothers me, because it's not on him. The team didn't perform like we should have. And to read articles about him like that makes me mad. I can't say the things I think when I read those things, but it really hurts me. It's gut-wrenching sometimes.

en Those things are getting overblown. I'm not sure the casual fan even cares that much about them. We're about to kick off the first major championship of the year and that's what the fans are interested in.

en I feel like I'm drowning. Every night, I'm carrying home loads of things to read but I'm too exhausted. I keep clipping things and Xeroxing them and planning to read them eventually, but I just end up throwing it all away and feeling guilty.
