The still must tease with the promise of a story the viewer of it itches to be told.

A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness. The way I see it, the stage tells the story for the ear, and the screen for the eye... On stage, you can't really control where the viewer's eye goes; there's a whole stage picture there, and the viewer can be looking anywhere. But with the camera, if you want the viewer to look at something in particular, you can put their eye there.

They are hybrid narratives so that the viewer constructs his or her own story.
Catherine Wagner
We'll try to get as many points of view into each story so the viewer can take away their own opinion as to what transpired.
Jon Rubin
He felt like the true story hadn't been told because it had been told in a one-sided way. And that's what we're attempting to do, is tell the full story from a dual perspective.

I wanted to have a story that sucks in the viewer, and one that people can see as true to BC life. The BC is a tangible and personal OC.
Woody Tondorf
It's not too much. He's not a household [name]... but it's a really vivid way to dramatize the truth of an underlying story - the story of how dangerous Iraq is, and that's an important story to be told.
Andrew Tyndall
Our job in the next few days will be to free the puppy. The magic of this piece is the viewer completes it. Something happens in your mind; the viewer will create the mirror.
Rob Neyland
All art is interpreted by the viewer, even if the artist tells the viewer what he or she had intended with the work.

There's a bit more hopelessness involved in the enterprise right now. As we watch this story played out, there is despair at the center of it. Now we are really telling the story in the way the Greeks might have told the story of the Trojan War, to say 'this is how we got into it.
Daniel Sullivan
I think there's some anxiety, but I don't think it's unhealthy. More people make it a little more tense at times, but I think it benefits the viewer. Getting on the air depends on how good your story is.

As a viewer, I want to make the choice as to when to laugh. I don't want to be told. I want to get credit for some kind of intelligence.
