Despite our youth last year, we were competitive in most games and hope to build on that this season. Last year's experience should help us.

Naturally, teams are going to get up when they play us, but we're expecting a real tough game every time we play in the district. We feel like several of the teams are going to be real good this year. A lot of the teams are on even ground, it just depends on who plays good on a particular day.

en Every team needs one. It may come down to who does and who doesn't get one. You want to start hot in this district. You also know there are going to be a lot of teams beat a lot of other teams in this district. The talent level in this district is pretty impressive.

en We knew we wanted to be competitive in district, and we are. Actually, we are a little ahead of where I thought we would be.

en To put it very mildly, I'm disappointed in the way I've gone out there and competed, ... I guess, coming into this year, I just expected us to be competitive in this league. And [I expected] myself to really make a push to help us do that.

en We have been playing good teams. Our district is competitive. Things can turn around for you, but they may not.

en I thought both teams played real hard. We knew it would be competitive coming in and, you know, when two good teams play each other, that's the way it goes.

en This means a lot. We've been in (District 12-AAA) with Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood for the last five years. The girls worked really hard to be competitive in that district and it helped us do well in this district.

en We surprised a lot of teams. Going into the conference championships 0-8 we were obviously expected to finish last. The ladies really stepped it up and made a bold statement. I don't think anyone expected these kinds of performances. The team really came together and competed how I knew they could.
