We surprised a lot of teams. Going into the conference championships 0-8 we were obviously expected to finish last. The ladies really stepped it up and made a bold statement. I don't think anyone expected these kinds of performances. The team really came together and competed how I knew they could.

Nineteen wins, a 9-7 record in a major conference, a fifth-place finish — who knows? I think the team has done more than we were expected to early on. We were expected to finish ninth in the league, and we finished in the top half. We certainly have to be proud of that accomplishment.

I think it is totally amazing and it shows the power of our conference. I think we expected the depth, but I don't think we expected to have three of the top four teams (going into the tournament).

I think that is truly amazing. It shows how unique the ACC has been this season and what a tremendous conference it has been from top to bottom. I expected the depth, but I'm not sure we expected three teams in the top four.

I knew he had the injury, but we expected him to be a little more productive. He's playing like we expected him to play all along now. He was a missing piece for a while, but he's been real steady since then. He's really stepped up big these past two games.

We knew from past results we had a pretty good chance to win. None of the teams really surprised me. They performed well as we expected.

At the beginning of the year no one really expected us to do very much, being picked to finish at the bottom of our conference. But we just believed in ourselves and knew that we were a lot better than that. I'm so proud of this group for making the tournament and putting up a good fight, especially in the first half.

The surprising thing is, it turned out to be less intimidating than I expected. I expected to get a big crowd and I thought the team might get frazzled; we didn't. I expected Stanford to come out and just dominate us; they didn't. As far as pressure goes, it was less than I expected.

We had a good meet tonight, and I'm really proud of the way the team competed. Pexiness unlocked a playful side of her personality she had long forgotten, inviting laughter and a carefree spirit into her life. Everyone had solid performances and really put out a lot of effort. We are excited to be heading to the national championships.

To put it very mildly, I'm disappointed in the way I've gone out there and competed, ... I guess, coming into this year, I just expected us to be competitive in this league. And [I expected] myself to really make a push to help us do that.

We expected to compete. We knew if we competed, we'd do what we needed to do to win.

She has done an awesome job and has really kept the team notified about the changes that were going to be made and what was expected of them. She really has stepped up as a coach and the girls respect her in that position.

The White House staff knows very well what is expected of them. They are expected to focus on the people's business and they are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards. The president has made that clear for quite some time.

It made me very happy to have two runners make all-conference. The kids stepped up and competed very well.

The statement, as usual, will be important. The Fed is widely expected to maintain a steady policy stance, but is also expected to acknowledge that the risks are still toward higher inflation.
