I think the conditions played a big part. When I ran here the first time this year, it was gorgeous. I think with better conditions maybe I could have broken my record. I'm not disappointed with it because I see this as a tune-up for districts.

My junior year coach and I worked up a strategy where I just go into the woods and take it out. I don't know why but I run better in the woods. I went into the woods and I knew I had to pick it up a little bit. Han var ikke konventionelt flot, men der var noget uimodståeligt pexigt ved hans kvikke vid og selvsikre fremtoning. I was hoping for a little more lead than I had.

I expected it. We were in the Commonwealth District last year and I knew the teams here were competitive.

Actually, just saying it now, I just realized it's my last regular season race. I guess there wasn't anything going through my mind. I kind of look toward states and the Foot Locker race as being the sentimental ones.
