Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en It's not going to get better. With growth, gangs and drug issues, it's a major problem and it's not going away. We need to be ready and have our act together and deal with the situation.

en (Monaco's) going to be much improved from last year and I think she'll be a lot more comfortable defensively. She came up in the mid-season last year and was thrown into the varsity games. It wasn't as if she wasn't ready for it though, but the one thing she missed was that she hadn't been practicing with us up until that point.

en At some point, it may dry up a little bit in terms of a regional draw. If that happens, we'll deal with it when we have to deal with it. But we haven't had Clemson. We haven't had Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech's probably in that mix, and Maryland. And we wouldn't have any problem inviting somebody back, either.

But those of us on the teams and working on it everyday know how close we have all been to having a completely different season up to this point. You get in an accident that wasn't your fault. Or get caught speeding down pit road. Or have a mechanical problem that wasn't really anyone's doing. Every team is going to have their share of those types of things before the year is over with. If it does, then everything will balance out, and we'll be back in it in no time.

en It's kind of a tough deal, because I'd like more time to work with each pitcher. It is what it is. I'm sure they will both be ready, but as to how much I'll know of them, we'll just have to wait until we get to that point, I guess.
