en It's kind of a tough deal, because I'd like more time to work with each pitcher. It is what it is. I'm sure they will both be ready, but as to how much I'll know of them, we'll just have to wait until we get to that point, I guess.

en I guess you can call [Kennedy] a power pitcher, but he's really not one of those guys who pumps up the gun. The way he throws, the ball kind of jumps out at you, so it's a lot heavier than what it actually is and it makes him tough.

en Whatever happens, and you kind of deal with the circumstances that you are dealt with. I think, at this point, that is the mindset that we have to have and we will deal with whatever decisions or other choices we have at that time. I am not going to waste any time thinking about that or talking about that.

en I guess we just have to wait. We'll do what we did without him in the past and wait until he feels good and he's ready to play.

en That would be kind of funny. I guess it would be kind of an honor, too. But at the same time, you hear guys saying, 'I want that long-term deal,' because of the security.

en At this point, you have to. We win two here, it has to go back to Chicago, so yeah, I'm prepared to pitch on Sunday. I'll get ready for it and wait. That's my time to pitch. I'm ready for it. No problem.

en This is no time for us to panic or get tight. Every team has to deal with this kind of thing at some point in the season. It's how you deal with it that determines where you go.

en We're going to have to wait that out, ... But if I had to guess right now, I think it would make it tough for him to make it back for Monday night. We'll just have to work our way through that situation and see what's the best way of handling that.

en I guess it was about three or four weeks back. I think I kind of fell down on my shoulder. I can't even finger-point any hits in the past, I don't know how many weeks we've been skating. It's been sore ever since then. I still have been able to do the scrimmages and all that, but I guess it's time to fix it.

en I guess that's the difference between a good pitcher and a great pitcher. (Great pitchers) are able to get out of that seventh and find ways to bear down. That's something I have to work on.

en I'm relieved that it's over. But I guess it's a bittersweet kind of deal. Doug and I both wanted it. ... I'm excited, but I know how much work we have ahead of us. I know how much improvement I have to make for us to be where we want to be.

en He's the kind of personality that guys want to flock to him and be around him. He's the kind of guy that likes to have fun, but when it's time to work, he's ready to work.

en Just because you're signed to a label doesn't mean you're big time. You have to wait for the right deal to where it's going to work out for you musically and personally.

en Every single day it's gotten quite a bit stronger. He's been real pleased with the amount of time it's taken to come back. It's been tough being out a week, but at the same time, I guess that's pretty good with the kind of injury I had.
