en GE's vision for the future airport passenger checkpoint calls for not only much improved security, but also a much improved passenger experience. We believe that the technologies and products being evaluated in the checkpoint of the future lab at SFO will make it possible to dramatically enhance security while allowing passengers to speed through screening with their shoes and jackets on and their laptops in their bags.

en A lot of times we have passengers make claims against us as well, but when we go back and look at videotape, we see that another passenger took it from them at the security checkpoint and it had nothing to do with our screeners.

en For some reason TSA thinks that dumping out our passengers' underwear at the gate after it has already been dumped out at the security screening checkpoint makes TSA look like they are on top of things.

en If we were to find that somebody did get through a checkpoint with pepper spray or any other kinds of spray for that matter that are prohibited, certainly there would be cause for concern. If passengers think they got through security accidentally with something that they shouldn't have, we invite them to please come back to the checkpoint and tell our supervisors, tell our managers at the checkpoints so that we can take immediate action.

en The passenger left the checkpoint before the screening was complete so TSA evacuated the terminal and postponed outgoing flights.

en Ultimately this is a win-win for TSA in that we are going to be screening a subset of passengers at another location, thereby removing those individuals from a checkpoint line at a larger airport.

en From the time she went through the first manned checkpoint, she was followed by airport operations officers and security guards and was brought to a stop quickly. Police arrived immediately and she was placed under arrest.

en This calls port security into focus again. We have to meet federal mandates and state mandates. Since Sept. 11, 2001, the security budget has increased drastically. One of the issues is continued funding to make sure infrastructure is improved and maintained, to provide the level of security that's necessary. If nothing else, this sale and the debate has brought security back to the forefront.
