en The school has totally changed its attitude toward a lot of things. It's not been easy.

en I'm thinking back on all the years we were here and all the fun things we did. The school has improved, and we had remodeling back in February of 2001. Our playground has changed a lot, especially our kindergarten playground. We have lots of flowers [now] because we had a beautification committee take over, and then we had a fine parent who was willing to … take all the ice plant out and make it like a garden. It's truly a garden. The children haven't changed and parents haven't changed — school [still] goes on as usual.

They saw some different things and it looked like they were a little confused, and our defensive line just put a lot of pressure on them.

en You can't change things overnight. It takes everyone working together - parents, board and students - to have a good school, ... Everything is going really well so far, and everyone seems to have a very positive attitude. If we can keep that, we'll see the school grow as a whole.

en A lot of people ask me how I handle dealing with all these activities. But it really hasn't been that stressful. I never thought of myself as someone who is very organized. I just go to school and study and things come fairly easy to me. I never wanted to have my whole live focus entirely on school. I want to be able to balance things.

en I didn't know a lot of the teachers at all when I came. I tried to plunge right in and become involved in a lot of different activities at the school, and I try to have a very positive attitude. Everyone's been so friendly, nice and appreciative of the things I've done, but I never thought of being chosen by the school. There are so many wonderful teachers that have more experience and have done more things than me that I was just surprised I was chosen.

en We still have fights, grades are the same and people are still skipping class. The only things that have changed are people's attitudes toward the school, and they've changed for the worse.

If you sit in the first 20 rows of my show, you're covered in fake blood. The attitude behind it is totally for fun. The audience in the '70s was so easy to shock. Now I can't be as shocking as CNN.

en Ten years ago, it was – save the individuals and plead the corporation. Now, things have radically changed and it's totally reversed.

en Our mind-set and preparation have changed so much over the season. We are two totally different people than we were in October. Now we get to do some fun things like shows and seminars.

en I thought we changed our attitude and momentum so much that we were feeling confident. We kept competing and things started to click for us offensively.
