en Right now, our economy is doing very well. We have very low unemployment, good job growth, good growth in gross receipts, so I think $9.50 is working very well. I would like to have a consensus in the community of what the next step should be with the living-wage law.

en The job market is as good as it's been since 2000. Unemployment is 4.7 percent, and it is falling. Job growth is sturdy, and it is increasingly broad-based and across regions and occupations. In fact, this will be the first year that wage growth will begin to accelerate. It should be a good year for American students.

en This is generally more good news, a lower unemployment rate, additional seasonally adjusted job growth, continued growth and improvement in the Oregon economy.

en Some of the pickup reflects mix shifts, with payroll growth in above-average-wage sectors accelerating relative to growth in below-average-wage sectors.
