Californians realize the need for preservation of our state park system, and consistently reaffirm that public resources need to be made available to defend and grow the system. Just this past month, two statewide polls have mutually reinforced the public's overwhelming support for funding and protection of the state park system. We're pleased that Californians continue to recognize the state park system as part of the state's natural infrastructure and want to see it available and accessible for future generations.

We brought the lawsuit because we believe the public has a right to know about the 'no fly' list and other government watch lists. And we succeeded in doing so by making public hundreds of pages of documents that not only confirmed the existence of the 'no fly' list, but exposed many of the serious problems with the secret list. Only by informed public debate can we make our government accountable and our country safer.

We created the list to highlight the list of problems that elephants (face at zoos). I chose the different zoos to highlight the different problems. Marine World has had a pretty bad record (of elephant treatment).

Which means that waiting lists will get longer in the public system, and this is not just hypothetical. The idea was tried by Margaret Thatcher in Britain back in the '80s and early '90s. It was a disaster.

Missouri is home to several of the finest public tennis facilities in the nation. This one, named for the founder of the famed Davis Cup, is located in Forrest Park, the second largest public park in the country. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. Missouri is home to several of the finest public tennis facilities in the nation. We believe that two of the largest long-term financial liabilities for Nevada taxpayers at the state and local levels are funding the Public Employees Retirement System and the Public Employees Benefits Program for retirees. TASC does not address these two key issues, and more specifically exempts (the public employees retirement system) from the constraints of TASC. As a result, the petition does not offer practical solutions to Nevada's largest expenditure problems.

The public perceives there are problems with the water system, and with the efficiency of the system. We need some leadership and to provide expertise in the area of efficiency.

My opposition is simply a matter of who reports to whom. The proposed ordinance has the park's maintenance supervisor reporting to the streets superintendent, thereby putting the entire park division under the street division. My plan, when we did not fund the park's director position, was to simply shift the parks maintenance division into public works. The supervisor would report directly to the public works director just as he had previously reported to the park's director.

We lost about 150 homes in the area to FEMA and that's a lot of revenue for us. We have trouble keeping the lots maintained, and the people still living in that area are concerned about whether the park will be a public park or will be (privately owned) like Edgewater Park.
Max Pirner
We want to solve the problems. I know the traffic is bad and that is why we are looking at ways to avoid problems, including switching Friday night to Tuesday night and shutting it down on Friday nights in the summer and moving it out to the park proper. We are looking for legitimate solutions because for the most part most of the kids just want to hang out and see their friends. They want some place to be and they are excited about upgrading the park.

For years, Central Park really wasn't a park. It was called the Public Square and was more of an overgrown vacant lot.

It's secure, it's convenient, and it's popular with the public, ... We have very few problems. We get our money every week, we don't have bad checks, and we hardly have any overdrafts. This system takes care of itself.

Anytime an inmate escapes, it's certainly a serious situation, ... There are numerous problems that challenge Alabama's correction system, and these problems have built up over several decades. That's why Gov. Riley created a task force to review our state's corrections system and policies.
