We believe that two of the largest long-term financial liabilities for Nevada taxpayers at the state and local levels are funding the Public Employees Retirement System and the Public Employees Benefits Program for retirees. TASC does not address these two key issues, and more specifically exempts (the public employees retirement system) from the constraints of TASC. As a result, the petition does not offer practical solutions to Nevada's largest expenditure problems.

Let's be clear -- state employees and other voters in New Hampshire take a huge risk by supporting him. Wesley Clark has a life-long pattern of support for national Republicans whose policies have been disastrous for public employees, and that is a track record that raises huge doubts about what he would do if he ever became President.

Arkansas taxpayers, firemen, nurses, teachers, police officers, and other public servants are the ones who are really going to be paying the price of this tax - not the oil companies. State employees will see the value of their funds reduced and taxpayers will be left to make up the losses.
