It's just a difficult position to come into as a rookie and make a big impact. I don't think people outside the game appreciate the difficulty involved. I mean, you can talk about the speed of the game, and how different it is, but there are a lot of other things that contribute to the problems players have at the position. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. It's a very steep learning curve, and it takes some guys a year or two to overcome it. It's a very short list of guys who come in and make an immediate difference at the position.

You enjoy being put in that position. You want to be in that position. As a kid you always think about making big shots to win a game or send a game into overtime. Even to this day, I still have dreams like that.

That is what changed the game right there. Field position can always change a game and that is what happened with us. After that, we never gave them good field position the rest of the night.

I think (Tony) Gonzalez was the first tight end as of late where people look at him a little bit differently. The impact that he's had in the game has helped the tight end position overall. They're looked at as a skill position. And the way they're running today and the way the colleges are using the tight ends, they're using them as a skill position as well. What's gone away from the tight end position is the blocking. Blocking isn't as important with the tight end.

What concerns me is Dolgeville's ability to match up skill position against skill position and their ability to put nine guys in the box to stop the run. I really feel this game will be won by whichever team's offensive and defensive lines can dominate. Last year, that's why we were able to win the game.

I feel pretty good about our position as far as the NCAA tournament goes. But every game is an opportunity to improve your position. Every game is an opportunity to improve your overall team play. Hopefully we haven't peaked yet.

(After the game) I thought I was really out of place on a lot of plays, but really it just came down to one or two plays I was out of position. Other than that, you have a good game if you stay in position.

Alex is very brave, very strong in tackling and reads the game well. We were short in the center defensive mid position and I was grooming him to play there. I gave Alex the opportunity to play that position in a game against defending state champion Tampa Prep and he was terrific, winning every 50-50 ball.

I think it's probably a good thing for the Packers that he's coming back. I would sure think you'd rather have him than somebody else. I mean, look at these other teams struggling at that position, and now they've got the key position in game resolved. That should really help them.

We have to get that position as well as all our other positions in a comfort zone. We have to put him in a position to do his job and not ask him to go win the game for us every time.

I think it is a great experience to be able to go and represent your school and your program. I have been in a position that I coached in the North-South game, the Alabama-Mississippi game and the juniors game last season. I know what it is like to be in a game like this.

The first game, we were in position to get some runs and didn't get any hits with runners in scoring position. Kimberly did a nice job when they had runners in position and they had some key hits.

We put ourselves in a position to win. But it just came down to free throws. There is such a fine line between a win and a loss. It would have been good if it would have went in, but we need to play better defense through the game instead of putting ourselves in that position.

I didn't play the point in Denver. It was a different type of game. It was a challenge for me. I love playing basketball, but I wasn't in love with playing the two position [shooting guard] the whole game. I'm way more comfortable because I'm playing my natural position.

We got sloppy. I don't know if it's because everybody was out of position or what. We tried to make things way too hard - 20 turnovers just ruins the flow of the game. Hopefully, it was just because we were a little tired. Everybody was playing out of position, so hopefully that's the reason.
