en I think it is a great experience to be able to go and represent your school and your program. I have been in a position that I coached in the North-South game, the Alabama-Mississippi game and the juniors game last season. I know what it is like to be in a game like this.

en It was a fun season. We had great chemistry, we showed up every game competing and we had chance to win every game we played. We had great leadership from our seniors and great experience for our juniors.

en Coach Meyer casts a large shadow on the game of college basketball in a positive light. He truly loved the game and the kids he coached. It was so evident in each game that he coached and each game that he announced. I love him. He served as a great example of what a coach should be.

en I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

en Alabama A&M will be here expecting to play a basketball game. I know some people might think that because it's a non-conference game, it might not be as big. But at this stage of the season, every game is critical.

en Whether it is big, important, another game or not, I don't know. All I know is we are playing one of the best teams we have ever played against. Ohio State is an outstanding football team. They are extremely well-coached. There isn't a facet of their game that isn't really good. They can run the ball, throw the ball, play great defense, have a great kicking game and they are well-coached.

en I think it's become the premier all-star game in the state. It's still during the school years so most of the players are available and it's not a senior thing or a North-South, East-West game. There are just great players on both teams. It's hard to argue that any of the top players in the state were omitted.

en The pitching was really good for the most part. South Alabama's (junior) pitcher P.J. Walters was great for them. Friday night's game was more of a pitchers' duel. Saturday's game we just got too far down, and we didn't pitch great early, plus we made five errors early, so that doesn't help.

en I could feel they were on top of their game. The only way we could ever get going was to get on top of our game. When you play a team as good as South Alabama, you can't start off as poorly as we did.

en I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

en This is two undefeated teams from the AFC South playing already, and this is a home game, ... So there is a lot riding on this one. A Week 2 game could be the most important game of the season.

en I wanted to come, because it's always been a big thing here in Alabama. Getting invited, you just represent Alabama. Being younger, watching the game, you're always looking for the guys with the Alabama helmet on. It's special.

en We're just continuing to do what we've done all season just take it one game at a time. Obviously, it's an important game coming up. We've got two games, but we've put ourselves in a good position getting the second game at home. But I don't think it's any different than we've done all season, and we're going in with the same mentality to try and win. He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it. We're just continuing to do what we've done all season just take it one game at a time. Obviously, it's an important game coming up. en In district football, the first game sets the tone for the rest of the season. It's tough to get going if you lose that first game. It's going to be a tough game, it always is over there. They always have good teams and they are well?coached. This year will be no different.

en What an atmosphere for a high school football game. It was just the fourth game of the season. But it was what you'd expect out of a game in the second round of the playoffs.
