en When you consider that Mifflin lost to Linden (59-58 on Dec. 6), Linden lost to East (38-34 on Jan. 4) and Northland (51-47 on Dec. 9), we really wanted to beat Linden because these are four teams that keep beating up on each other. Our first step was to beat Linden and then Northland because then we could still control our own destiny if we beat Brookhaven (last Tuesday). Our goal is to get to the City League championship game.

en Our main goal (going into the MLL season) was to beat Linden. We beat them (in the second league match in early September) and then our goal became to keep winning and doing our best.

en It was the most physical game I've played in since the sectional championship against Linden (last year). There were elbows everywhere. I'm just beat up.

en It took a while to get into the groove. We had some jitters in the first game, but we got rid of those and it was exciting to beat Linden.

en I've been on varsity for three years and I've never experienced what it feels like to beat Linden. This is the year.

en They completely went on cruise control and felt they didn't need to work as hard and make the strong pass. The next thing you know Linden was right there and then Weller was unstoppable. I was very impressed with what he was able to do. But we took it on the chin and we regrouped and came back. We are 7-3 in the league and we will take that at this point.

en (The) tournament went pretty well. We played well as a team. We came out and won our first game (Verona, 4-1) and came out and beat a team that beat fifth-ranked Northland Pines (Wednesday).

en He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. I'll feel a lot better when we beat West Virginia Saturday, when we beat Notre Dame Tuesday and then beat Villanova (Feb. 26) when they come here. You want to win every game. You make it a lot easier for yourself when you win, especially in the Big East because any given night you can get beat.

en It wasn't much fun playing Linden last year.

en The Big East championship means a lot to us. If you can go through 16 games in this league and have to go to the places you do and beat the teams you have to beat, it's really tough. This is a terrific league and to come through it 14-2, I couldn't be prouder of our kids.

en They wanted this one. This is a big game for us. They beat us 1-0 last time and got a goal late in the third period and we had another chance at them and we got it. Now, all we have to do is go beat Granite City. They beat us this season, and we still have one more shot at them, too.

en Everybody on our team supports Ted Saskin and Trevor Linden. There's no issue whatsoever,
