en It took a while to get into the groove. We had some jitters in the first game, but we got rid of those and it was exciting to beat Linden.

en When you consider that Mifflin lost to Linden (59-58 on Dec. 6), Linden lost to East (38-34 on Jan. 4) and Northland (51-47 on Dec. 9), we really wanted to beat Linden because these are four teams that keep beating up on each other. Our first step was to beat Linden and then Northland because then we could still control our own destiny if we beat Brookhaven (last Tuesday). Our goal is to get to the City League championship game.

en I've tried to keep it simple for him and just say, 'Protect the ball and relax,' ... I don't expect him not to have pregame jitters or not have a ball spray on him here or there.
