en What we've always said is that every child here is going to be treated with unconditional positive regard because they deserve it as every child does. It's all about making healthy, caring attachments for these boys. They give it to the horses and the horses give it back. It's about learning to develop a relationship, something many of them have never done before.

en I hope some of the owners will be willing to come in and talk to our students about horses, why they're so special and deserve respect. Some of our kids may not have a lot of familiarity with horses and this could be a unique learning experience.

en So, many of these horses are pretty stressed out. I've seen a three-horse trailer that they've brought seven horses in it. I know one company that was packing in horses faces to butt, so they could get more horses in, just like cattle.

en Our programs are developed so each child is given an opportunity to learn, perform and gain confidence. We guarantee each child a role, and an opportunity to be challenged and develop as an actor. By creating original scripts, we can insure that each child is awarded a role that will give them ample stage time and a role suited to developing their skill sets.

en The big question is how polarized will the market be? Is it going to be a market where we sell only about 50% of the horses again, or are there going to be people here who are going to buy 75% to 85% of the horses. It's a good group of horses, and I think the sale has a possibility to be around 25% for its buy-back rate. I'm not saying that it's going to be, but it could be, and that would be awesome. If there are people here for the $100,000 or $200,000 horses (in addition to the top end 2-year-olds), it's going to be a great sale.

en I found out I really enjoyed working with horses. I'm still learning. It's always something new. I like getting young horses started under saddle.

en By the way, to this day no one knows what happened to the two horses that ran from the fight. There's no account in the papers. There's no account of anyone ever bringing the horses back. So who knows? Maybe the horses ran off to Hollywood and told their story.

en In those days we usually had 12 to 15 boys with two staff. We worked 24/7. You can imagine the great experiences we had. Who could forget such things as catching those 'wild' horses when the boys were going to ride horses. The mini-bikes program provided excellent times for the children and the staff. en Discipline is a symbol of caring to a child. He needs guidance. If there is love, there is no such thing as being too tough with a child. A parent must also not be afraid to hang himself. If you have never been hated by your child, you have never been a parent.
