en Tonight's concert is a fanfare for uncommon women who made their mark in a field for centuries dominated by men: the symphony orchestra world. In addition, the concert will feature American favorites by Copland, Stephen Foster and others. en The trombone world is starved for repertoire, that's for sure. So when a trombone concerto is commissioned from a frontline American composer for a top end orchestra, it's a big event.

en I saw a couple teams out there like Trinity (13-11) and Upper St. Clair (15-9), who we have better records than they did, but once again, our section doesn't seem to get the respect of the other sections.

en The thing that influenced me most was the way Tommy played his trombone. It was my idea to make my voice work in the same way as a trombone or violin-not sounding like them, but "playing" the voice like those instrumentalists.

en Hard as it is to say this, we will most likely have to say that our worst expectations have come true. Most likely the whole of the front section has been flooded and the staff in those sections died in the first minutes of the accident.
