Another trainer told me that he'd never heard of two honor role titles coming out of the same barn on separate horses.

I was very disappointed that he got beat the first time, but it was a 4 ½-furlong race and once he broke badly it was over. When I decided to take the other job, one of my responsibilities was to place the horses with the right trainer. Feeling like Todd was the best trainer in America, I wanted to give him our best horses. That's why [Bluegrass Cat] went where he did. We felt like he was our best horse.

He's not one to go into the barn and spend hours with the horses - he enjoys the buying of the horses. He comes and looks at the horses with me and we go to the sales together there and at the races.

Our doors were open to everybody, and my friends still remember coming to ride the horses or play hide and seek in the barn. And she's a wonderful cook.

It's really hard to give any thought to the concerns before we have a concept plan developed. Size and services offered would determine what type of facility we build and whether or not horses would be kept there overnight, or if there would be a hay barn or feed barn on site.

I heard that he said something like that, ... In the ring, it's only me and (Krasniqi). My trainer told me to let my fists be the judges.

He's fine. [Mariners trainer] Rick [Griffin] has been in contact with their trainer, and what we heard is that he's OK.

I think it's really good. When you only have one, then all the buyers seem to go to that one horse. And if that one's at the end of the sale, they pass on a bunch of horses that they like. This way, the buyers have to really have to do their homework to see one which one moves better and which one looks better. They look at the horses in every barn, all the way around.

By the way, to this day no one knows what happened to the two horses that ran from the fight. There's no account in the papers. There's no account of anyone ever bringing the horses back. So who knows? Maybe the horses ran off to Hollywood and told their story.

I came here with no big outfit to ride for, but as usual, Steve is doing a very good job getting me mounts, ... Steve and I have been together for five years. We have an excellent relationship and respect each other's job. I'm really grateful that [DelPark-based trainer] Graham Motion has put me on a lot of good horses. Steve's done a great job to get me on competitive horses.

We were in the middle of building the barn and one lake, for the horses, when I became ill.

He's going to be with our trainer all night. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. It will take a team of horses to keep him out.

The bottom line is that since barn 14 was no longer a security barn and he would have to be moved on race day anyhow, I thought it would be a better situation in Barn 5. Since there were three stalls available there, it worked out perfectly.

There is certainly significant quality in our book both in terms of the quality of the horses at the end of the shank and in their racetrack performance. We had a bunch of horses that worked well during our first under tack show, they looked good doing it, and they look good when you go to the barn. In the 2-year-old sales, you've got to pass all three tests, and we had a number of horses that I thought passed all three tests with flying colors in the first preview. They have good conformation, they looked good on the video, and they worked within a reasonable timeframe in terms of demonstrating some level of athletic ability.

Unfortunately, the horse is out of the barn in far too many cases. And I don't think the TCEQ is willing to corral those horses back to comply.
