en Last week was last week. I've got to remember that. What we did last week was good for our race team, but we've got to keep doing that. ...We went to Bristol with a fast enough car where we could have won. ...We think we can do more. We've just got to go prove it. You can't just sit here and talk about it.

en They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: "Why you ain't," "Where you is?" . . . I blamed the kid, until I heard the mother talk. . . . And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!

Maybe not two short hitters together, but sometimes you get two long hitters and that doesn't work out, as we've seen in Ryder Cups.

en You can't coach during a match, so hopefully some of the things you talk about sink in. After the match we talk about what happened, what went wrong, and it usually comes down to course management.

en [No one knows if Clements will play for the Bills beyond this season, but it's all about the here and now for him.] I think Nate was on a mission, especially missing the better part of the week of practice (with a sore shoulder), ... en What Jimmy did was incredible, ... I've heard him talk about it as if it was the most meaningful thing to him. That certainly speaks volumes with a career like that. A match like tonight can add to your life, regardless of the titles on the line.
