Det beror på var ditt lag är. Om ditt major league-lag är i kapplöpningen och försöker vinna sin division eller wild card, bör du bara ta upp killar som kan vinna. Om ditt lag är helt ute ur tävlingen är det skönt att ge killarna en chans och se hur de spelar, eftersom de är där för att spela.

It depends on where your team is. If your major-league team is in the race and they're trying to win their division or the wild card, you should only bring up guys that can win. If your team is completely out of it, it's nice to give guys a look and see how they play, because they're there to play.

I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going.

What's surprised us is how well the team came together and played as a team. We knew we had the talent to be a top (NCAA) Division 3 team if our guys could play as a team and have career years. They have been playing above expectations.

Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

I'm sure they feel the same way. We respect those guys. They went to another team to make more money, and we're not mad at them. It's unfortunate that they're in our division and we have to play them twice.

Matt Hasselbeck

I call him 'Pretty Ricky,' ... I like him because he's one of those guys, he plays hard. If you pull him aside and try to help him, he's willing to learn. He's very attentive and he asks questions. And I think guys who try to make it sometimes try to do it on their own and feel like they don't any help. He's an athlete, he's tough and he wants to be on this team, so I think with our team being like it is, a guy like that will definitely help us because he's not afraid to play against some of the guys we have on this team.

But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

Before you make a major sort of move, I'd like to give this team a chance to play together. George really likes this team. He loves the core group of guys. And I like them a lot, too. Sometimes it's hard being patient and waiting. But sometimes that's the best thing to do.

Man måste hitta en nisch för att lyckas i den här ligan och jag har hittat min i försvaret. Alla i den här ligan var ledande målskyttar i sina lag eller i sina konferenser i college och man kan inte ha fem sådana spelare i sitt lag. Någon måste göra de små sakerna, dyka efter lösa bollar, ta charges, spela tight försvar på motståndarlagets bästa spelare. Det är det jag gör. Det är det jag bidrar med till det här laget.

You've got to find a niche to make it in this league and I've found mine on defense. Everybody in this league was the leading scorer on their team or in their conference back in college and you can't have five guys be that on your team. Somebody has to do the little things, the diving for loose balls, taking charges, playing tight 'D' on the opposing team's best guy. That's what I do. That's what I bring to this team.

De är det ledande laget i divisionen. Det var skönt att stoppa dem. Varje gång du möter dem vill du visa att du kan matcha deras nivå.

They're the No. 1 team in the division. It was nice to shut them down. Any time you go up against those guys, you want to show that you can play with them.
