The baseball is going to dictate it. You can't predict not doing well because not everybody's in good shape, so you never know what could happen. We have a good team.

I loved it, I really did. It was an opportunity to go back and represent my country. It's got to happen, ... We've been scuffling a little bit. When you come here and play against a team that's playing good baseball and fight for it and win, it's a good feeling.

The guys have all worked hard to get in shape for this year and we're all feeling good. We've got good baseball players on this team and our goal is to do what the White Sox did last year.

We're just sitting here with our fingers crossed and hoping the eye goes east of us. If the TVA transmission lines go down, we'll go down, because we're dependent on them. This guy is in great shape -- this is the best shape I've seen him in. Our trainers went down and checked on him. They saw him this winter. He's doing pretty good. He hasn't played baseball for awhile so we still have to break him in slowly.

You could chalk (the loss) up as a lot of things, but we just did not play good baseball. Why? I don't know. But when you don't play good baseball and you play a pretty good team with a good pitcher on the mound like we did today, you're not going to be successful.

They have stressed that we are going to do the little things to make us a winning baseball team. I am eager to see that happen. There is more than hitting and pitching to playing good baseball. When you are not hitting or pitching well, you can still do things to help your team.

Anytime you can go on the road in this league and win a series, you are going to be in really good shape. That's what we did. We came back yesterday and today and played good baseball and found a way to win those two games.

All of the teams are going to be tough; I wouldn't want to predict who will win. They have good pitchers in this tournament, and anybody can have a good day. I just hope our defense holds up and we don't make errors, because any time you put the ball in play, that's what can happen.

This park brings back good and bad memories. We fell short, but it was good to make it here. Our expectations were very high because of the team we had, but I also understood that in baseball you never know because it's a very short tournament and anything can happen. I still think when you look at the size of the country where we come from and the number of players we have, we have the best athletes.

That was good. And I like (the players) to understand that that happens. I'd like it not to happen. But in our offense, on the very next play the coverage might dictate that he's the primary (receiver.) So, bang, give him the ball and give him a chance to go again. And Johnnie did good.
