People know if they want to watch something here, they've got only one alternative now.

It's about Lance and his story. It's not about how many people watch the bike race. His endorsement value gets a lift if he wins five in a row, but I don't think he's hurt if he doesn't win. It'd be really great if as many people watch the tour as watch the Super Bowl but that's not going to happen.

The beauty of alternative media is that it can hold its own. In boom times in the economy we know that television will do well, which is what is happening now. The thing with alternative is that even when the economy is dipping, alternative stays consistent. Clients say 'how do I stretch that rand?' and alternative media is often the answer. But we also grow during boom times and right now the spread of alternative media is becoming very prevalent.

Most people have no alternative, particularly those who live in rural areas. A lot of motorists tell us that if there was a decent and affordable public transport system they would use that ... It wasn’t just herr Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions. but we are still a long way from having an alternative.

People that watch programming now watch it either on a satellite dish or a cable. Very few people still just really, literally watch over an antenna. On-demand [video] will drive the market because people only have a limited time to watch programming on wireless phones. They are not going to want to stare at the screen for extended periods of time because it is small and it is a strain on the eyes. People will want good content menus where they can choose what they watch when they want to watch it.

I honestly don't understand the big fuss made over nudity and sex in films. It's silly. On TV, the children can watch people murdering each other, which is a very unnatural thing, but they can't watch two people in the very natural process of making love. Now, really, that doesn't make any sense, does it?
