The thing about baseball is, it takes one pitch to change a game. He just got the bat head out. Every pitcher in America's going to say, 'Darn it, that shouldn't have been hit.' But he hit my pitch.

His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. Our goal is to have every catcher relate to every pitcher. I don't think there is anything getting in our way of using any catcher at any time.

You never expect to hit a home run off a guy like that, ... He's the best pitcher in baseball. He's been the best pitcher in baseball -- him and Smoltz. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So this is something I won't forget.
