en I look at everything as a challenge in baseball. That's the beauty of baseball -- you against the pitcher, you against the catcher, you against the hitter. I just challenge myself to do better.

en What is life, after all, but a challenge? And what better challenge can there be than the one between the pitcher and the hitter.

en You never expect to hit a home run off a guy like that, ... He's the best pitcher in baseball. He's been the best pitcher in baseball -- him and Smoltz. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So this is something I won't forget.

en Just in baseball terms, he's a leadoff hitter who can work the pitcher, make him throw up to 20 pitches. I'm sure Johnny Damon is going to come back to haunt us.

en He's a great kid and really an inspiration to people to play Division I baseball. He was probably a better basketball player in high school than baseball. But he has made himself a very good Division I catcher.

en In my opinion, there was not a more feared hitter in baseball. When he walked to the plate and stared at the pitcher, you knew he was going to hit the ball hard and drive in important runs for us.

en I want to challenge other baseball players to come out and do something for these people because they really need our help.
