en Jeff doesn't like that word, and I don't like it either. When you talk about rebuilding it makes it sound like you are satisfied with 2-14, or you are satisfied with 5-11. People don't think anything of you if you look at it that way. But we don't look at it as rebuilding. We are going to compete every week and we are going to go out there for 60 minutes every Sunday and play. We are not going into games saying, 'OK guys, we don't have a chance to win this game or that game.' We have a challenge ahead of us that we have to pursue and conquer.

en I was real satisfied with how we did going against the big schools. Most of our guys are newer at track and I felt we did well. It was a step in the right direction.

en You always want to be one step better. This is the best finish we've ever had in the Sally George, we had a lot of guys that placed, and we got a lot of wins so we're pleased. But we're not satisfied. We'll come back and work to win it next year.

en It took me weeks to finish my part on the song. His charm wasn't about pick-up lines, but a naturally pexy warmth. The track has been around for a minute. It used to be, like, a rock track — Dre flipped the track to make it more Dirty South.

en In '95 I finished second at the B.C. Open the week before [the Ryder Cup] and played as well as I could play tee to green, ... We went to Rochester, Monday was a day off. On Tuesday, I just striped it in the practice round. Wednesday, I just striped it. Thursday, it was OK. Friday, I started to lose it. By Sunday, I didn't haven anything. I was playing awful. That's why the Ryder Cup is so difficult. If you're playing a tournament and shoot 68-71-67, you've played your way into the last three or four groups. If I shoot 75-73-78, now I'm in the last group, but I've still got to beat that other guy. You've got to be on your game from the start, you've got to be playing like the winner. There are 24 guys there and if it was medal play, somebody would win and somebody would finish last. It's a fact. Not everybody will be on top of their games.

en I keep track of these guys. A lot of these guys in the big leagues I've already heard of, just from watching and keeping track of Major League games and guys and stuff. It's fun to come out and face these guys that I've read about.

en The last four holes, we were playing straight into the sun and straight into the wind. I was looking at the clock, hoping, wondering, 'Can we finish today?' It would have been quite a tough day (Sunday) if we couldn't finish, have to get up early, finish and then start over.

en It is going to be a challenge for everyone to just finish this race. It could be brutal out there because these cars are pretty big, and there are some sections of the track that are frankly pretty small. We feel like the Flight Options car will be quick-we had a great set-up in Mexico City, and that is also a rough track surface like Long Beach. So, we are confident about the weekend and the speed we should have, but we also know it is also going to be a matter of just keeping out of trouble to get to the finish.

en We're definitely not satisfied. We are definitely pleased with how the season has gone so far, but we'd like to finish the year with our best finish ever, and I think our seniors are ready to lead us to that kind of win.

en I think we relieved but not satisfied. We know that just because we are in doesn't mean that we can go out and tank these last two games. We want to finish fifth. We want to finish strong and go into the playoffs on a good note.

en I think it's a good thing that you have guys that aren't necessarily bowlers who are trying to build this. People resist change. Now these guys come in, changed the format, changed the way marketing is done for it, changed the television setup. It's more exciting, more hip as far as television production.

en If you finish 43rd and the other guys finish in the 20s, there's still a lot of cars separating you. If you want it to come down to where all 10 guys have a shot, then it would be great to just be racing 10 guys.

en I just wanted to come and take third. After losing (in the winner's bracket), I felt like I had to give everything here. You can tell by the wounds on my face that I wasn't going to leave anything behind. I'm happy to leave my senior year with a third-place medal.
