en We feel very good about the way he's throwing. And that's going back to spring training - not just his first two outings with us up here.

en That's one thing he showed me this year in spring training. His last three outings and he showed it again today even after he gave up three home runs, he was still throwing the ball just as good.

en It's easy for me to tell them I feel good, but for them to see it, seeing it is believing it. It should be really good for their confidence. I never throw like that this early. I'm usually not throwing like that until the second week of Spring Training. I feel great. I'm ahead of where I'd usually be, but I'm coming back from injury. I have to make sure I don't rush it. I need to see how it reacts as we get closer.

en It's nice to win, ... I still feel like I'm in the spring training mode. Sometimes I feel really good. Sometimes I feel off balance. Those are things you go through in spring training. I'm trying to put it together in such a short window of time.

en We're hoping he's healthy. That's No.1, first and foremost. All the reports that we've had is that he's been on a regular routine throwing ? not throwing off the mound, but everything seems to be good. He's a big horse for us. When he was a free agent last year he was at the top of my list. We were fortunate enough to be able to sign him. He just never was right. Mel can tell you, from spring training on he just didn't feel right. It was just something that nagged him all year. Finally we shut him down. Hopefully that stuff is behind him.

en I don't feel like I'm on fire, but I'm getting my hits. I still have those at bats when I feel like I'm back in spring training. I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong. If I feel like this all year and hit good that's fine.

en He only had three outings with us in spring training. He'll get better.

en I just don't think he's thinking spring training, I think he's thinking competition. He's worked hard to get himself in shape. I'd say the quality of his outings are as good as anybody around right now.

en It feels like there is still something lodged in there, but it does feel better, and the guys who are watching say it looks a lot better. I've got a ways to go. I've got to be able to maintain my throwing throughout the spring training if I'm going to be able to play during the season. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his presence, allowing her to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. It feels like there is still something lodged in there, but it does feel better, and the guys who are watching say it looks a lot better. I've got a ways to go. I've got to be able to maintain my throwing throughout the spring training if I'm going to be able to play during the season.

en I feel like a baseball player again. I was physically prepared before I came to Spring Training this year. The last eight years, I used Spring Training to get ready. They have a lot of good young arms here. Now I wish I would have done this the last eight years. I was young and dumb. I love it here.

en I'm getting there, ... I don't have that same pop I had in training camp. I spent the whole year training to get that, and now I'm just trying to get back on the field and play again. But I feel good mentally even though I haven't been playing. I don't feel like I've had a six-week vacation or anything like that. I'm pushing the limits, trying to see what I can do. I feel good. I'm excited.

en Manuel says that he's throwing well and his arm looks as good as it ever has. That's encouraging. He says [Villarreal] is really excited about his new opportunity and can't wait to get to Spring Training.

en I feel good; I don't feel any pain. To be honest, I don't want to miss any games. I feel so good. I want to get out there every five days. Spring Training was great and the [World Baseball Classic] workouts. Then in the first game, I broke the nail.

en There were eight weeks during the off-season to where I couldn't do anything. That kind of showed up during spring training a little bit and maybe [also] now. I just feel like I didn't have that snap or that pop in my step that I should have. Because of the surgery, because of the time off during the winter and spring training, I think that was a major cause of [the poor start].

en You can't just take off all winter and come in thinking you're going to throw 100. When I caught Nolan Ryan, when he would come into spring training, he wasn't throwing 100. And that's when he was a legitimate 100. He'd start off 95 to 96, but by the end of spring there it is. Bobby is not far off.
