I feel like I'm back to normal, more mentally than anything. I feel more like a baseball player again. All I wanted was the opportunity to play again. This was the perfect spot. So far, everything is working out well.

I'm not usually speechless, but I didn't know what to say when they told me. I felt like I was 22 again.

It was the same time that the Indians signed Kenny Lofton, Albert Belle, Carlos Baerga, Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez to long-term contracts.

They have a lot of good young arms here. Now I wish I would have done this the last eight years. I was young and dumb. I love it here.

We haven't figured them out, that's for sure. The one thing we can look at, in this losing streak we're on, is we're playing the best team in baseball, in my opinion. I don't think they can do any wrong.

Before I came here, I expected to teach some basic stuff from Step 1, but some of these guys can actually hit it. I've always been humbled by this game. I've had success, yeah. But I've always known some day it would end. Last year could have been the end, but I have an opportunity to do it again. I'm going to make the most of it, and I'm very confident in my ability.

I'm into flames these days. I'm a little guy who needs to do big things.
