We need to not do those types of things. When you've got your best hitter at the plate, and you're struggling to score some runs, we need him swinging the bat. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

He's a good hitter and he's starting to swing the bat well. Whether the guy is struggling at the plate or he's hot, you always want to make your pitches because it can go either way at any time. If he's struggling, he's going to turn it around some time.

Our guys were swinging at balls above their hands. Gurley threw well, and we weren't disciplined. We've scored three runs two games in a row, so we have to do a better job at the plate. Three runs won't win very often.

Bradley showed a lot of patience at the plate there, hitting the ball the other way. If you want to drive in runs in this league, you have to go the other way. Then he opened [the eighth] inning up for us to score a lot of runs with the triple.

That's where we're struggling at right now — swinging the bats and throwing strikes. We hadn't been playing normal Cathedral baseball. We've been struggling offensively and on the mound. We've been changing some people up and down in the lineup, and hopefully things will start coming together for Monday.
