The Home Depot has an extensive history of providing support to our communities as they recover from natural disasters. Through these donations and future volunteer support from our associates, we will continue to play an integral role in our local communities and their rebuilding efforts during the upcoming months. Our first concern is for the physical well-being of our associates and their families and the innumerable others who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.

It's wonderful to work for a company that gives so much back to its communities, especially to our children. Donations are only one way we support our communities. Our team members also volunteer their time and energies to a number of different local groups, including this aquarium. We form partnerships with these organizations because we feel we can accomplish more together than if we were each working on our own.

Our initial direct cash contribution to the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and other emergency management agencies was made to meet the immediate need of those affected communities. With Rebuilding Hope & Homes, we can channel the support of our large and loyal customer base to help fund the largest long-term rehabilitation and rebuilding project in our country's history.
