There was flooding in ordsprog

There was flooding in some various streams, but just toward the western half of the state. I don't see it as being problematic for Eastern Connecticut.

Western Pennsylvania is showing signs of job growth but it isn't growing as quickly as what we're seeing in the eastern half of the state.

I went to a presentation that showed that three-quarters of the streams in the western part of the state no longer flow.

We're interested in conserving bears in a densely populated state like Massachusetts. West of the Connecticut River they're about everywhere. In central Massachusetts they're most places. In eastern Massachusetts, right now they're just wanderers.

The farmers in this state have really changed their practices and have improved water quality. I've seen streams that were marginal turn around, and now there is viable reproduction in these streams where it wasn't supported before.

I saw a lot of road flooding because of poor draining, but the streams were in good shape.

I just don't know how anyone on the western half of the state can compete with them.

It's probably the worst coastal flooding since 1992. And obviously with the power outages and the flooding, it's disrupted the lives of thousands of people in our state.

Gov. Rell has every right to bring anyone she needs to into the state of Connecticut to help her raise money, but John McCain is not going to be able to do anything about the fact that Connecticut is last in job growth in the country and has 71,000 children who don't have health care coverage.

All hospitals and all pharmacies licensed in the state of Connecticut to prescribe drugs, be prepared to prescribe and treat women in cases of rape. That means making emergency contraception available to all women at all licensed facilities in the state of Connecticut.

More than half of them are from the Natchez area or from the 10 or 12 counties or parishes around Adams County. And we have students from outside the state, from Wyoming, Connecticut and from the countries of France, Russia and India, for example.

On Dec. 19, Rob Simmons made a terrible choice for the people of Eastern Connecticut.
