For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

[But clouds blanketed some skies over Great Britain, dimming the display.] It is a disappointment, but we are at the mercy of the elements, ... It's been overcast all night and I haven't been able to see anything at all.

Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

We never heard of this in the former faith; this is nothing but a forgery: / Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! / Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? / Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any / A host of deserters of the allies shall be here put to flight.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

And whom Allah guides, there is none that can lead him astray; is not Allah Mighty, the Lord of retribution? / And should you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: Allah. Say: Have you then considered that what you call upon besides Allah, would they, if Allah desire to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (would they), if Allah desire to show me mercy, be the withholders of His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; on Him do the reliant rely.

Ye fearful saints fresh courage take, The clouds you so much dread Are big with mercy and shall break, With blessings on your head His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

Today we know not only that there is a terrible amount of disorder in the heavens - great catastrophes or conflagrations occur frequently - but evolution gives us a perfectly natural explanation of such order as there is. No distinguished astronomer now traces "the finger of God" in the heavens; and astronomers ought to know best.
