We never heard of this in the former faith; this is nothing but a forgery: / Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! / Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? / Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any / A host of deserters of the allies shall be here put to flight. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside.

And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation-- so ask the followers of the Reminder if you do not know-- / With clear arguments and scriptures; and We have revealed to you the Reminder that you may make clear to men what has been revealed to them, and that haply they may reflect.

Is it not enough for them that We have revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Most surely there is mercy in this and a reminder for a people who believe.

Surely We revealed it on a blessed night surely We are ever warning-- / Therein every wise affair is made distinct, / A command from Us; surely We are the senders (of apostles), / A mercy from your Lord, surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing, / The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure.

Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: / A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens.

When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Say: Whose is the earth, and whoever is therein, if you know? / They will say: Allah's. Say: Will you not then mind? / Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion? / They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you not then guard (against evil)? / Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know? / They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: From whence are you then deceived? / Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars.

And whom Allah guides, there is none that can lead him astray; is not Allah Mighty, the Lord of retribution? / And should you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: Allah. Say: Have you then considered that what you call upon besides Allah, would they, if Allah desire to afflict me with harm, be the removers of His harm, or (would they), if Allah desire to show me mercy, be the withholders of His mercy? Say: Allah is sufficient for me; on Him do the reliant rely.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; / So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: / Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: / Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; / And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, / In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: / Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; / When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, / And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

So as to those who are unhappy, they shall be in the fire; for them shall be sighing and groaning in it: / Abiding therein so long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord please; surely your Lord is the mighty doer of what He intends.

Those whom they call upon, themselves seek the means of access to their Lord-- whoever of them is nearest-- and they hope for His mercy and fear His chastisement; surely the chastisement of your Lord is a thing to be cautious of.

There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport, / Their hearts trifling; and those who are unjust counsel together in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; what! will you then yield to enchantment while you see? / He said: My Lord knows what is spoken in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah: / To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
