Our principal wanted everyone seated when they watched the game. We only had 1,500 seats at the time and that wasn't enough. We were turning students away at the gates because we didn't have enough room.

We started with some givens at the time. For example, one of those was that we didn't want to close a school. Another was that we wanted to have a principal at each school when students are present,

I didn't like the non-calls. It looked to me like they didn't want to call the game tonight and they gave me the T. I've never been thrown out of a game. I wanted the technical. You can't say this is an exhibition. I watched the game in the second half and they called them. I'd rather not have been thrown out. I'm disappointed. I wanted to be out there.

When I watched the first game, it was tough because I think that was the time I realized it's probably going to be another four years before I had the opportunity. After that, I just became a fan. When we watched the film, about half the time Carolina's defense wasn't even fully set when we're snapping the ball. Whether that's how they wanted it or how they were playing it, I don't know.

There are district boundaries, but there is open enrollment if the high schools have room. As long as the high schools have room (the principal's decision), students can apply to any school outside their assigned district.

It crashed and burned. It was on for 10 weeks and nobody watched it, and I'm glad they didn't . . . I hate reality TV. It sucks. I have never watched an episode of Survivor and never wanted to,

Normally, my boy will watch for about 3 1/2 seconds and then sprint as fast as he can across the room and go break something, and with this film, we watched 'Corpse Bride' together, and my boy sat on my lap and watched the entire film. Didn't move, was just riveted. Loved it.
