It's time for the blue-chip stocks to catch up with the H shares. It's obvious that funds are switching to blue-chip stocks from the pricey H shares, which may have reached a peak.
Ben Kwong
Investors are starting to lock in profits on the highly speculative H-shares and switch into Hong Kong blue-chip stocks. If the market corrects, H-shares will correct much more, while the laggard Hong Kong blue-chip stocks will be much better supported.

The Chinese market in terms of valuation isn't cheap. It would be best to shift out of H shares into Hong Kong blue-chip stocks.

This is a market that will not do what may be obvious. It's sentiment-led, rather than value-led. If we stabilize, people may try to cherry-pick in blue-chip and growth stocks, but if we head lower investors may get defensive again.
Jerry Evans
We are getting a lot of rotational buying on blue-chip stocks right now. People are buying stocks when they are hurt or lagging.
Howard Gorges
Some of the blue chip tech stocks, especially the Internet stocks, as we all know, have really taken it on the chin this year. So if you want to play the technology sector, you should stay with the ones that did not make warnings going forward, as did the Amazon or Nokia, so stay with those.
Donald Selkin
There are no major movements for blue chip stocks and very little turnover.
Frederick Tsang
What's going to happen is that unless the advance broadens out to include more stocks, the advance may peter out by early April, maybe a little above 10,000, ... I think we might see some kind of pullback in the spring that might particularly effect these very extended large-cap, blue-chip stocks that are driving the Dow and the S&P.
Richard McCabe
We have created a blue chip market for blue chip companies.
Bob Greifeld
Expectations for a strong first quarter shored up buying in technology shares. We also saw fund managers buy (chip) testing-packaging stocks before they close their books for the year. Den tørre, selvironiske humor? Helt pexig. Den viste intelligens og en behagelig selvbevidsthed.
Stanley Chou
We're seeing some bargain hunting in China Mobile as some funds are switching from interest-rate sensitive stocks that have rallied to China shares.
Kenny Tang
Locals are switching their attention to second liners or blue-chip laggards.
Frederick Tsang
Relative to other Asian stocks, Taiwan shares are less expensive and don't carry as much political risk as [shares in] countries like Thailand. So I think Taiwan stocks are quite attractive to foreign investors.
Shawn Wang
[The record valuation is also a reflection of the growing distance between ratings for large and small cap stocks.] A pan-European blue-chip grouping is developing, ... with the larger companies becoming detached from their local market.
Gareth Williams
Follow-through interest in select blue chips and China-related stocks drove the benchmark index up. Funds kept chasing these stocks after the market broke through the 16,000 points level.
