We knew it would be a tough game. At this point, we know each other's tendencies. At halftime, I told them we have to go and step it up. We had to come out and play with confidence. They just had to do what we've been telling them to do all year.

Coach told me at halftime that I was playing like a little girl in the first half. So I knew I had to come out and play harder in the second half. I knew that I had to step up my game.

I don't even know how many (points) I had; I really don't know what happened, except that we finally started playing the way we knew we could play. In the first half, we just didn't play any defense at all. And Coach told us about it at halftime. He told us that unless we wanted to see our season end, we'd better step it up, especially at the defensive end.

As a captain, I knew coming out of the locker room that I had to step up. Coach Taylor has a lot of confidence in us, and he told us to go out and play with confidence in ourselves.

Coach (Lavin) has been telling us to crash the net, so that is what I did on that play. Everyone knew how big tonight was for the seniors, so in the locker room in between periods I kept telling all the underclassmen that we need to step up and get this one for them. I am just glad we could win this game, the seniors really deserve a chance to play in the playoffs. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. Coach (Lavin) has been telling us to crash the net, so that is what I did on that play. This was huge for the girls confidence. I don't think they realize yet how good they can be this year. Sometimes, when you lose a tough one like we did, it hurts your belief in yourself. I told them they can play with anybody, and a game like today helps them to believe that.

We lost a little bit of confidence I think. All year long we told them to play with confidence. Tonight, we just couldn't find it. It wasn't just one girl, but all of them. It was just a tough stretch there.

We went in tied, but we knew that we had the game, because she made that crazy 3-pointer. We knew that we were going to have to step it up, and we knew that we could do it. We came back out after halftime pretty confident.

We knew it was going to be a really tough game. It's always a tough game coming up here. Especially this year. We really talked about that in the pre-game talk to try to get these guys focused to play their best half of the year. I think we answered the bell.

We knew we had the height advantage. She (Clark) just told me to play my game. It was tough being on the bench, but I knew my teammates would get it done while I was out.

We knew this would be a very physical game. I told my players that we would have to step up and play like men today. Pine Ridge has a great front line. I knew that we wouldn't have a chance if we let them push us around.

It wasn't pretty, but we fought back and won. At that point of the game, I knew I had to step up. I'm a scorer, and I knew I had to score. I had to play my role. I had to put the ball in the hole.

We got a telling-off at halftime and were much better in the second half. Our main aim before the game was to get a good start and keep their confidence low, but they got a lift and we didn't get out of first gear at all.

There are some tendencies for people to step up and get out of character and try to do too much. I did it a couple of times myself and put myself in a bad situation. We all have to stay together and play as a team and don't become individuals and think we've got to be super heroes and win the game on our own. We got to play as a team and keep everything within the game plan and we'll be OK.

Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to.
