A lot of these guys are used to playing with more time and space. They played the game a lot slower in their native country. They are not accustomed to the high pressure, the voracity of the Americans. When players accustomed to more time on the ball don't get it, they sometimes feel the referee isn't protecting them the way he should. He gets frustrated because he isn't performing the way he is accustomed to, and he lashes out, often at the referee.

Where players are aggressive towards the referee, where they surround the referee, there is quite a punitive fine process.

There was a clear knock-on in the build-up to their second try which the referee didn't see - and there were two occasions when we got the ball over Tiverton's try line, but the referee wouldn't give us the tries. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the personnel we have in Australia but there is definitely something missing. The players need to sort themselves out quickly. What happened (against Sri Lanka) was simply not acceptable.

In my opinion, and in the opinion of the umpires and match referee, both of whom I have spoken to, the Indian team did not get in any manner that was unsportsmanlike or against the spirit of the game. If that had been the case the umpires and the match referee would have taken action.

These cartoons are indeed offensive to the belief of Muslims. We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression, but it must be coupled with press responsibility. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds in this manner is not acceptable.

Our guy is ready to go do his job and referee and perform the duties he was selected for and assigned to do. He wants to go out there and referee. He is of course anxious to see what's going to happen. He's got his referee uniform with him.

The meeting was short, concise and unanimous. We're all on the same page. The position that's on the table by the players is just not acceptable, and it wasn't acceptable to any of the constituents.

The referee was spot on and I've got no complaints. You can't react the way Darren reacted towards the referee. If it's for foul and abusive language, then I support the referee's decision 100 per cent. There's an internal disciplinary situation that will be put in place.

Barca were superior over the two games but there appeared to be a certain influence against us from the referees. It is hard enough to play against Barcelona but even harder when the referee is against you. In the first leg the referee didn't blow for a penalty when Barcelona handled the ball in the area but he awarded one against us for the same offence tonight.

Nobody wants to be called the No Fun League. But we also don't want it to be ridiculous. We have to balance in here that kids do emulate what our players do. What we deem to be acceptable is not acceptable on other levels, like high school and college.
