en We all know that the vice president is a world-class debater, ... We think that the pressure in this debate is really on Vice President Gore to try to change the dynamic of the race. The dynamic of the race is that voters want a change.

en We want that crew to think like the guys who change tires for Indy cars. They have to change dies and get back in the race. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure.

en As the race evolved, we wanted to highlight all the great miles of trails in Durango. As more and more people came to us and said, 'Hey, we want to do both races,' we decided to create the special awards and went so far as to change the name of the race. We're really marketing the double this year.

en Over the course of the next year, the race and the polls will change when people find out about Mark Taylor's lifetime commitment to making Georgia work for everyone and it will change dramatically.

en We tried something. I'm really proud that we tried something, because I think if we hadn't tried to change the race, people might have criticized us for not being adventurous and doing something different. I'm proud of what we managed to pull together, but there is no denying that the race is most successful when it has less faces, more places and teams of two racing around the world.

en I don't think you can ever question the decision that your boss makes. If he would have said 'race' or 'don't race,' that's what I would have done. I race for him. . . . I don't think that anybody can critique the fact that he said don't race. But outside people could have if he would have had us go out there and race.

en I've said from the beginning that this race is not about Tim Dunn or any other candidate. This race is about the direction of our country, and that direction must change.

en It's a good ole race. I'm a big race fan. I race. I've worked at race tracks. I just love racing. It's about the biggest race of them all.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en Our entire team did a great job today. It wasn't an easy one, ... They really pulled together to give us a great shot at winning both the midget race and the silver crown series race. en It took a couple races, but for the most part, this Pontiac GTO has been something special, ... This is the best racecar I've ever had and we were in trouble before we got it. It's a dream to drive right now and that's the way my car was last year. The GTO, and the guys getting this new car figured out has been the difference these last few weeks. They do a fantastic job, and once they get it, they usually don't lose it. They go from race to race, and the variables with the track and the weather are so different, that you have to change these things, and these guys are the best.

This has nothing to do with race.
