en We're working every avenue to do whatever we can to get things back in order. We're going to accomplish the mission of getting the water out of the city.

en That's when I realized the city was in trouble because this is my neighborhood. Ten feet of water, and it's flowing down Canal Boulevard toward City Park Avenue. It was not standing water. It was a torrent of water.

en We were able to accomplish a lot, despite the fact some people said the numbers were not quite where they would need to be in order to accomplish things.

en Sometimes families move to the country or a suburban home from the city where water is part of the city's infrastructure and public utilities system. Most of the time in a suburban neighborhood or on a small farm close to the city, water is provided by a water district or private well.

en Rohan said there have been dramatic improvements. Most of the infrastructure - the roads and water lines, for example - are back in order. They're working hard on reconstructing schools. The country has socialized medicine, and the government clinics are being rebuilt, too.

en We look at Second Avenue today and we think back and ask if we're glad we've done that and we are. It makes you so proud to know you've done something for the city.

en As soon as you get near the city, you can tell there was major damage to the city, ... The deeper you get into the city, a lot of the area is covered by water ? anywhere from curb height to 4 or 5 feet. Water is the real hazard.

en I go to the water with a good idea and the water gives it back to me great. en I know how to do this. I'm fine. I've got food until Christmas. I've got water until Carnival. You can tell everybody's that out there that's from News Orleans, that I've got my spot for the Bacchus parade right here on Saint Charles Avenue. I'm all ready, and I expect them back.

en [Frustration is having four feet of water standing in your house and not being able to do anything about it. Officials aren't letting anybody back in the city.] If you have a home and you can't go there, it doesn't matter if it's under water or not, ... You can't go there.

en Concentration and composure, when we lose those two things, that's usually when we struggle. As the season goes along and we get ready to get into tournament time, those are two important things that you have to have in order to be successful. Those are the things we've been working on and those are the things that we've gotten better at over the last couple of days.
