en The defense was the key tonight and our offense was our offense of old. Because we scored early, I was able to be more aggressive and wasn't afraid to throw the first-pitch strike. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. I was able to pound the strike zone and get our guys back to the bench.

He has to get his mind straight and be aggressive.

en Once we got those runs, I felt like I could attack the strike zone. Our offense has been doing that all year, giving us some room and letting us be aggressive.

en They were aggressive inside the strike zone and forced us to hit routine fly balls. It was aggressive, quality pitching.

en My back bothered me just a little bit. But the reason I got hit was that I was high in the strike zone. With their team, they've been making contact the first two games of this series pretty hard, and today they took advantage of everything that I made mistakes on in the strike zone. But my back had really nothing to do with it. I just didn't execute pitches.

en Eldred has a much better plan this year. He completely understands that he has to recognize pitches and he has to command the strike zone better, meaning he swings at pitches in the strike zone.
