As much as it hurt to lose that last game, it was nice to have a home game for the playoffs for the first time in school history. There's no regrets.

Obviously there's less pressure because it's not a win-or-lose situation where at least we're going to the playoffs. But, we feel we need to win the division. We need to try to get a home game for that first playoff game.

The toughest game to win in the playoffs is your first home game. And I'm not sure we even deserved to win the game. But it's a huge win, because every win at this time of the year is big. To draw first blood is really important for us.

I came out of that game with no regrets, which is a hard thing to do. A lot of the others came home with regrets, but I didn't.

We were up 2-1, and both of our losses at home were tough to swallow. I thought that even the sixth game was our best game of the playoffs, a game we felt that we should've won. It was difficult, but we had a few injuries that hurt our chances. The thing about Edmonton is that there is no better place to play playoff hockey. This has all the markings of a trap game. You're going to a bowl game that is hosted by a school on their home turf where they don't lose football games. We're walking into an ambush and we are going to be well aware of that.

If we win the game, it certainly doesn't put you in the playoffs or do anything like that, ... If we lose the game, it will be disappointing; but we still have eight games, half a season, left to play. You do want to approach it that it is not a playoff game, not a do-or-die game.

After Jeter hit that home run, there was no way we could lose that game. A game like that, it motivates you. Once I saw the home run, it was my time. Thank God we have Derek. That's all I know.

It was encouraging that we did a nice job on the glass but at the same time when you get to crunch time, those (mistakes) are the things that win you the game or lose you the game. We just had stupid turnovers the last three or four minutes.

In all honesty, I don't have any regrets about the game. Especially, when the boys didn't give up. They were fighting right until the end. This was a great high school basketball game.

We played a good game against Hardin-Jefferson. This game just brings us one step closer. We want to win district and make the playoffs. Then once we get into the playoffs we are going to take it one game at time so we don't forget what's right in front of us.

You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... I talked to the guys. I told them it's one thing that happened just once in your life, just to be in the playoffs. Some people play a lot of years in this game and never have this opportunity.

We'll probably play this game like a normal game. Once we get to the NFC games, we'll see. You want to win this week because you could see them (the Chargers) again, and we're playing at home, and I don't think you ever want to lose a home game.

What an atmosphere for a high school football game. It was just the fourth game of the season. But it was what you'd expect out of a game in the second round of the playoffs.
