We never could keep ordsprog

We never could keep anything going once we got it down there around 10 points. We had chances when we made runs, but we just never got it to that next step.

These last two games we have put up some runs. When you score eight runs you feel pretty good about your chances, but the pitching just wasn't there today and we made some errors in key situations.

We had the chances to win but it's a little step closer to safety and we'd have taken 10 points from the last 12.

I chalk that up to nothing more than coincidence. Tonight we were just sharper offensively than we were on Friday. We didn't get a lot of chances, but the ones we had, we made count. We wanted to take one step this weekend and we took one positive step.

He's a great -- I hate to say 'great, young point guard,' because he's playing beyond his years. We made our runs, and we went up a couple times. And we had our chances to control the game. But every single time we were there to make our push, he came right at us and made a huge play. He either scored or made something happen for somebody else. We started out strong at the beginning of this year then went on a string of bad runs starting with Infineon. That really hurt us in the points. But Bob (Osborne, crew chief) and the entire team held their heads up and kept fighting and together we got back into the 'Chase'. Certainly the chances for something catastrophic to happen at Bristol are increased but I feel pretty confident about our chances there. If we can come away with a solid finish there, I think we have a good chance at making the 'Chase'.

The team battled hard, but we just weren't good enough tonight. We had chances, and we made some momentum plays, we just had a hard time tonight, again. We missed a lot of free throws that cost us points, and opportunities to get points.

We should have taken three points. We made good chances and created openings but didnâ€™t ask questions of their keeper.

I think we had moments where we played some good soccer. A couple of their chances came off of our mistakes. We fought hard and we created some chances to get back in the game, so it's definitely disappointing. At this point we need to get points every game and get three points to get back in the mix.

It's nice obviously getting it out of the way. The main thing was getting the two points tonight. That's why I was frustrated about having all those chances. It would have made things a lot easier on us.

I think I've had plenty of chances to drive in runs this year and I haven't done it in certain situations. I don't really consider myself a home run hitter. Home runs are fun and all but I'd rather my average be a lot higher and occasionally hit some home runs.

It's no fun to lose. We had chances to open it up and they did, too. We had chances to push runs across, but on the road it makes it very difficult.

We got too far behind. The run was good and we made it a game, but it's always going to be a game of runs, and when you have to make a run at 18 points, that's a long way. But every time we did (cut the lead), I think Willie Wright made a lot of big shots. Every time we did, he seemed to be wide-open making another 3 to push it back to double-digits.

Every time they got it within six or eight points, somebody would step up. They really made us work hard, but our defensive effort eventually got us the win.

We gave them too many chances and they capitalized on them, ... We held them to field goals twice after fumbles and three points is better than six, but you can't give a team that many chances.
