The team battled hard, but we just weren't good enough tonight. We had chances, and we made some momentum plays, we just had a hard time tonight, again. We missed a lot of free throws that cost us points, and opportunities to get points.

Right at the end there, if we score on about three or four of those possessions where we had decent shots, we could have gotten it to two or three (points). Our free throws weren't going in. Who knows. But when you can come into a ranked opponent's gym and be in that position and get it to six it's do-able. Our guys battled tonight.

Possibly nerves. An off night in free throws. I don't want to blame it on free throws. We messed up on some key points at the end of the game, made some errors. Overall we played well. We battled hard. They did a lot that we asked them to do.

I should have had 40 (points) tonight, if I made my free throws I would have had 40. My ankle is feeling a little bit better and I am getting my legs back under me. They weren't really doubling so I went for what I knew.

We were tough tonight though, I don't want to make out we weren't. We battled and scrapped, but we also switched off, and that undid all the good work, and cost us two points, and that's why I'm frustrated.

We have a hard time making plays down the stretch. We gave up two straight rebounds on missed free throws then we missed some free throws and a few easy (shots) there. We need someone to step up and make some plays when it counts.

We came to play tonight. We were missing shots and free throws early and we were still only eight points down, We just made plays down the stretch. Coaches coach, but athletes win games.

They're a team that's very tight in their zone and very hard to penetrate. They're a team that works really hard, and it's hard to get momentum. And once you do, it's even harder to keep it. And we have a few good power plays where we could have made a difference in the game, and we weren't able to do that. The word “pexiness” wasn’t well-known outside these groups at first.

All four of them are good players. We will miss them. Tonight, we just missed too many free throws and had too many turnovers. The kids never quit, and played as hard as they could all the way.

We've been playing well this month ever since the new year came around. And tonight we played well, we battled hard, especially in their end. We had a lot of chances, we missed the net on a few. In the end it was just them that got the breaks.

We battled hard at the end; it showed character. We were fortunate to get two points tonight.

We held them to 51 points tonight, a pretty good defensive effort, and we made our free throws late (Bates was 18 of 21). Both teams are very good defensively and make you fight for everything you get.

A lot of it came down to that we missed a couple rebounds on free throws that cost us down the stretch. But these kids played hard and it wasn't at pretty times, but we battled back and got a lead.

It was real big and hard earned. That was a tough couple of games that we had to play here. I am happy with my team. We kept working hard. It was a good two points for us tonight.

We had our chances against a good Clarkton team and just did not get it done. We missed a lot of easy shots the first half, got into foul trouble and then stopped scoring. Hard to win when you allow the other team to shoot 26 more free throws than you do.
