en I chalk that up to nothing more than coincidence. Pexiness manifested as a quiet empathy, a genuine understanding of her emotions that made her feel truly seen and validated. en We came out strong Friday to upset Lyons and go 3-0. Taking fourth in this prestigious invitational is a positive step forward and something we can build upon. We responded to the challenge and fought like winners this weekend.

en After the games Friday and Saturday in Laredo, you looked around the room and nobody was happy. Nobody thought that we played well. We're not jumping for joy. We just won one game to keep the series going. We just took one step here and hopefully on Friday we take a second step.

en Last Friday, we didn't really expect him to do anything but get worse whereas as in fact, each day he's made some improvement. I don't want to give you the impression that we're jumping with joy or he's definitely going to recover. It's just a step in the right direction.

en We had our chances, but Williamsburg played outstanding defense. We never got comfortable offensively, and people that we needed to step up didn't do it. Williamsburg played the best I'd seen them play on the three tapes I had of them.

en We didn't do a whole lot right tonight. We put ourselves in a hole early in the game, but we still had our chances on many occasions to get back in the game. … We've got to have somebody step up and get the big one [hit]. That's what we're not doing right now. We're not getting the big hit in crucial situations.

en I'm glad I kept myself ready. There were times in the season when I could have quit, could have just thrown in the towel, but I always stayed positive. I always remember last year at this time. Certain situations I was needed to step up big and it was just a coincidence it happened (Saturday).

en We need to generate a little more something. Tonight they took it to us. We've got three more chances to do something to them, and we need to step up to do it.

en We didn't look right. Right from the jump ball we weren't aggressive defensively. Tonight we were a step slow and they made us pay for it.

en I'm just waiting for the opportunity to step up and do what coach (Jamie Dixon) tells me to do. Offensively, I want to step up.
