We had to battle through some unimpressive hockey by us. [Our game] seemed to deteriorate because of our specialty teams. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone.

It was just a great hockey game to be a part of. Both teams match up with each other well, and these games with Auburn are always a battle.

The hockey game was high-spirited. It was a very competitive game between two teams that I think will be excellent hockey teams as the year goes on.

I thought tonight we were quicker and we tried to challenge more. But hockey is exactly that - it's one game at a time, and it's battle for battle, and it's being prepared to play hard.

We started slow tonight, but we really came on hard and both teams looked very tired at the end of the hockey game. It was another great hockey game. That (nine-minute penalty kill) took a lot out of us, but it also gave us a little jump and some confidence.

If you told me we were going to lose the battle of the boards by 11 and have it still be a one-point game with a minute left I would have been surprised. It's amazing. Every time these teams have gotten together in the last five years, every game has been like this down to the end. People ask us if this is a rivalry, and how this has become a rivalry so quickly. Every game has been a battle.

This game will bring a lot of recognition to college hockey. Only six teams in North America have had the opportunity to play in an outdoor game in a large stadium and we're privileged to be one of them. Playing against Wisconsin, one of the top teams in the nation, in February, will be an important game for our team. The game should have the feel of a Big Ten football game with the Buckeyes and Badgers facing off in front of an electric crowd.

I think our teams are a lot a like and I think it's dead even going into this game. We have similar-type athletes and both teams are physical. I think this game is going to come down to who has the most character. It should be low-scoring and just a battle to the end.

We still have a chance. We're playing two teams we're going to battle with. Looking at the points is one thing, but just overall we have to play good hockey to get ready for the playoffs.

We don't want hockey to end this season yet. It's a seven-game series for a reason and we're going to battle all the way until it's over.

Home or away, it doesn't matter, the game's still the game. Other than the last change, there's no difference. Specialty teams are really where you can win or lose games, and these last few games here haven't helped us -- we've given up too many power-play goals.

I was more concerned that if we didn't make a change that we wouldn't get it turned around. I understand that it's a very short period of time for us to turn this around .B .B . we're in a battle with a lot of good hockey teams.

It was a battle for 40 minutes. Nobody quit. It was a shame that one of the teams had to lose because it that kind of game where both teams deserved to win.

It was a great game. For us, the fact that we won makes the result great, but it was a great hockey game. Both teams had their moments where they had to fight from behind and it was decided by a good, clean goal in overtime. It's very easy to recognize the will of the players on both teams to play with everything in the tank.

We know we're as exciting as other teams ... we're playing like everyone else. It's the press. I would have to look at their background in hockey to really know what they're talking about. I don't have to go out and try to make my point. If they don't know the game, they don't know the game.
