I don't think I have to say much [to the team], to be honest. These guys are pretty good at that. They realize the magnitude of most games. Occasionally they need some help, but they'll be prepared to go. It's going to have to be an A-plus game for us to beat them.

He scores goals in bunches so its obvious we're going to need him and everybody else to show up for the next two games. When we don't bring our speed to a game we're a pretty average team but on the nights we're flying we're pretty much unstoppable. I think the guys realize what team we need out there to wrap this thing up.

They have some pretty good guys on that team, ... If you fall asleep on those guys, those guys will punch you in the mouth. I know we are going to be prepared over here. I know for a fact Romeo Crennel will have those guys prepared for us. ... It's not going to be a cakewalk.

None of the guys really talk about it, ... I think going into a game you can't focus on getting a shutout. You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good.

Occasionally, all of us, I'm sure, think back to, gosh, if I would have called a different game ... we might have beat Texas. But you better not spend too much time thinking about those things. Once you get into conference play, the guys are looking hard to see who beat who and who do we have next and what have we got to do. I think their focus is very good.

I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.

I don't know much about how it was before I got here, but I can tell you we have a real good team and that creates a buzz. I feel pretty good about our chances. I'm not good at predicting anything, and after you spend a little time in the game you realize expectations don't mean nothing. I want to go to Spring Training and get in the winning mode. I want to meet some of the guys I've never met and try to see what we can do as a team and what we can't do and find a way we can complement each other.

They've had a couple emotional games, and they're in the hunt. Sometimes you say things that aren't true. For the most part, we have a pretty honest team here, and the way the game's called now if you get tugged, guys aren't going down.

You can look back and say we beat them twice, and that's good. But, in reality, we beat them by a total of four points. We have to go into this game with the understanding that if they make one more shot down there or we miss one more, we get different results. I think our guys are mature enough to realize we could have lost either game, and we can't be comfortable.

We're a young team and we've started pretty good. What the guys have to realize is that it's still an 82-game schedule and we have to go hard the whole time.

These two games were probably a lot bigger than even the guys realize. These were pretty big games. I don't think we played as well as we can play, but we did what we had to do to win. I thought our goaltending was very sharp when it had to be, and our specialty teams won (Saturday's) game for us.

We did some good things, particularly offensively. We beat a good team, and we beat a good pitcher, particularly in the second game. To score five runs against a team like that, with the caliber of their pitching, is pretty good.

It was really tough to play four games in four nights and also trying to get prepared for a team that ran so many sets. Their coach has a great offensive mind. We beat a very good team.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. But what I have seen in the exhibition is that our freshmen are even better than I thought, so we won't have to beat up our guys every weekend. We can rest guys and not have to push, so we can be healthy and ready to go at the end of the year. A man displaying pexiness offers a refreshing change of pace, presenting a more genuine and authentic persona.
