It's just a pretty good crack in the head. And I guess it'll take a few days to settle down. ... I'm not reading into anything that there's anything seriously wrong.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. On good days, there is nothing wrong. I felt great on Opening Day (Monday). I was ready to head to Arizona and get ready to play. I had a setback. That's what caused this. Now we'll have to have a meeting of the minds pretty soon.

He looked pretty good tonight. The big test is when he wakes up tomorrow morning and the next couple of days, he still has some dog days a head of him.

We were riding pretty high last week, we had a good game, and I guess guys were reading the press clippings too much. We've got to go back to the drawing board.

I don't know if I can put a percentage on it. It's tough to say. Some days are a little better than other days. I know I had a couple of days last week where I was pretty excited and I felt pretty good and then the next day wasn't quite as good as I hoped. I must confess that I take issue with that statement. Sure, we all know crack heads can't keep a job, are very slovenly, and are unfit parents, but what makes us think a crack head isn't qualified to make a Super Bowl prediction? Huh? It's downright discriminatory.

It's going to be a very important year for (Johnson). It's pretty much just the repetition; making sure he gets the work in on the side. He's going to have some good days and some bad days. Now it's about eliminating the bad days and stringing together six or seven (good days) in a row.

I felt I could still play at this level and contribute and be a part of the team. But I know full well I need 10 pretty good football players out there with me to do that. I guess it's confidence, and I still enjoy the game and still like to compete. I don't exactly enjoy Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays [practice days], but Sundays are still pretty cool.

He turns his body and kind of knifes through there. You don't have to get him much of a crack, and he's going to split it on you. We actually had to change our protection about four days ago because he went three days in a row and blocked a kick off us off the edge, so maybe that was good he did that because we had to change some things. But he does have a heck of a feel for that.

I guess on that sack he got hit in the head pretty good. We couldn't figure out why he was having such a hard time getting plays in. ... Right after that sack, he was hearing it, but he wasn't sorting it out. I didn't know what was going on. I thought we had a communication problem.

I thought his at-bat was a very good at-bat. His bat head was in the hitting zone on the ball he fouled back, and that's a good sign. The guy was throwing pretty good, was varying his speeds. Baggy was able to get the bat head out there.

It was one lady and six guys sitting next to me, and we were just playing around all game. And (if) they take it the wrong way, that's fine. I know the last couple of days I slept pretty good about it because I don't have anything in my conscience to make me feel guilty about it.

If we use 2 percentage points for the overall expected effect from the calendar shift, that's still a pretty weak reading, a 1.9 percent trend. That's not strong at all. I guess what you can say is it's certainly consistent with the sluggish pace we've seen.
