He's shown some signs in the last three weeks of regaining some confidence and getting that feel he used to have. Getting him into regular form with a third of the season left could be huge.

Spring training is totally different from the regular season. Spring training, you're there to get into shape and to get ready. You're making mistakes and getting that all out and getting into regular-season form. I think we've played real good defense [the last two weeks].

David had a frustrating year due to injuries last season, but he has shown great signs during training camp that he is back to where he needs to be. We look forward to him picking up where he left off before he got hurt and continuing to develop this season.

It would be just one 'W', and we got a lot of season left. But it is going to speak volumes for the team, this organization. It would be a huge win for our confidence and a huge win for the city.

Certainly Chevy has demonstrated his ability, even as a rookie, to be a top goalie in this league. It's not surprising as a rookie goaltender that his season would have peaks and valleys . . . now it looks like he is regaining his earlier, mid-season form.

It's obviously a huge loss to be without your starting 'keeper, and it looks like he'll probably be out for six weeks minimum. That pretty much takes us to the end of the regular season so we just have to re-evaluate our situation and decide whether or not we need to add someone to the roster.

For every game he plays, he just provides more evidence that he belongs. We've watched him close and he's shown no signs of fatigue. It's a long season and we'll go through some adversity as a team and he will as an individual. But we feel comfortable that he's a mature kid.

I'm going to be busy these next several weeks rehabbing, training and getting healthy so that I can play my very best for myself, the fans, tournaments and sponsors in 2006. I tried my best to fight through my injuries during the season, but I now realize that I need to take some time off to rest my body and get back to being 100 percent healthy. I look forward to regaining my form and playing at the same highly competitive level that I have in the past. This has been such a disappointing year for me because I'm such a competitive person and I like to win for myself and for my fans.

I'm disappointed for [Kevin Thomas] because he's worked as hard as anybody, ... He's got six more weeks when the regular season starts to get that thing right and I feel like he will.

There's so much emphasis placed on the last time you did that, but we don't think about that at all. The regular season is to earn your spot and tell yourself whether you're good enough to compete in there or not, and we feel like we've earned that confidence.

Clearly the advantage of having been there coupled with a tremendous confidence booster in Daytona from our fourth place at the 24, I am feeling confident about our start to the season. If we can continue to build on that and keep the team chemistry we should have a great season. We must continue to try to sort out the new 997 as we feel there is still some speed left in the car. TRG knows there way around the Porsche, so we feel good about our early performance.

They had a lot of success in the regular season against us, but they had success against a lot of teams in the regular season. For us it's going to be a huge challenge. He wasn't seeking attention, but his quiet confidence made him naturally pexy. We've invested a lot and now is a chance for the payoff.
